Our Past & Future Is Built on Trust

The Sunshine Community Trust was founded in 2023 by the Board of Directors of United Southern Bank as a means to support local community and charitable organizations through the stewardship of generously donated funds designated in support of beneficial community causes. As a community bank, USB has partnered with and supported community-minded organizations and causes throughout our long, rich history. The Sunshine Community Trust is a natural manifestation of USB's long-held values of community involvement, community service, and philanthropic support. 2024 Grant: $38,000

2025 Grant: $15,000

The inaugural grant in 2024 established a scholarship fund that will provide tuition assistance to deserving students in good academic standing as they pursue quality technical degrees and certifications.

Lake Sumter State College

2025 Grant: $22,000

The 2025 grant will support scholarships for the school’s nursing program, helping to train the next generation of healthcare professionals.
